Barr Aloysius defends our youths “Nigerian Youths are never Lazy”

Nigerian Youths are Industrious, Employable, and Employers of labour…

MAJA Party Governorship Aspirant Chief Barr Aloysius Osuji. replies APC government

A front line governorship aspirant in Imo state on the platform of Mass Action Joint Alliance, Barrister Aloysius Osuji, has come hard on APC for describing Nigerian youths as lazy, during President Buhari’s last visit to London, United Kingdom.

Barr Osuji, who maintained that PMB’s comment was “un-presidential”, said that the country’s youths have demonstrated uncommon sense of hard work, commitment, industry, creativity, innovation, and versatility all these years.

The front line gubernatorial aspirant noted that though it was painful to hear one’s president disparage the youths of his country in an international arena, the unpatriotic statement will not deter the Nigerian youths from being “good ambassadors of our beloved country “.

He asserted that despite what he tagged as harsh and clueless economic policies and implementation process of the current administration, “the workaholic youths of this country have continued to weather the storms”.

He cited instances where many youths of the country, especially youths of Imo State, have broken new grounds in academics, technology, sports, and business entrepreneurship among other things.

In the words of Barr. Osuji, and I quote “President Buhari needs to visit places like Ariaria Shoe Industry in Aba to see the youths design and produce leather works that are sold within and outside the country”.

He maintained that no patriotic president would call his youths lazy, when he had not done enough to improve the standard of living which would encourage robust economic growth and employment growth.

He berated the inability of successive governments in the country to establish a sustainable youth development plan and he wondered why the sins of the parents are being visited on the children.

He further reminded the APC that youths have ears and are aware of the economic rape which the country had suffered in the hands of past leaders.

He questioned why APC will call the youths lazy when there are no meaningful job opportunities for the youths upon graduation from the universities.

Barr Osuji who described the nation’s ministry of Labour and employment as a shadow of itself, asserted that through hard work and self development, uncountable number of the youths of the country had distinguished themselves on various international platforms.

According to him ,the federal government, APC had failed in policy direction and administrative prowess to configure the country’s ministries of sports and agriculture for massive employment and engagement of the youths .

The Barr said “that if not for the hardworking nature of the youths, IMO STATE especially would have been known for worse crimes” .

He advocated for a radical reformation in the political consciousness of the Nigerian youths. According to him, the Imo youths had been deceived over the years with the most deceptive statement of all times… “the youths are the leaders of tomorrow “. He called on all Nigerian youths to replace that saying with “the youths are the leaders of today”.

He urged every IMO youth to arm themselves with their permanent voter’s card(PVC)in preparation for the reformation mantra from being leaders of tomorrow to being leaders of today.
